Zac Brown Band Releases Cover Art for New Album, “Welcome Home”

After their wide-ranging 2015 album, "Jekyll + Hyde", Zac Brown Band announced in September that they were returning to the studio this winter to begin recording their new album, Welcome Home, a project that Zac says goes “straight back to our roots.”

In addition to the new album, which drops on May 12, ZBB announced earlier this year that they are embarking on a 40-plus-date Welcome Home Tour that kicks off on May 12 and makes stops in Denver, Chicago and Los Angeles, among many others.

Continuing the trickle down of information regarding Welcome Home, today (Jan. 30) ZBB revealed the album’s cover art via Twitter.

The simple art - which looks like an antique tin ceiling tile to me - seems to be thematically in line with a return to the band’s roots.

See a Sneak Peek of Zac Brown Band's New Country Music Hall of Fame Exhibit

On Tuesday afternoon (July 19), the members of Zac Brown Band and industry insiders were treated to a sneak peek of the Country Music Hall of Fame's new exhibit: Homegrown: Zac Brown Band. Opening July 22 and running through July 2017, the exhibit features ZBB's instruments, awards, song manuscripts, journals, stage wear,

photos and an assortment of interesting collectibles.

«I was pretty amazed just looking back, we spend all of our time building things and growing that we don't often look back to see what we've built», said Zac after touring the exhibits of the first time. «Seeing everybody and everybody's personal things and all the memories attached to every one of them, from all of our beginnings, it's kind of emotional for us. It's pretty amazing, really, what we can do a s a unit together.

Formed in Atlanta in 2002, ZBB has been a mainstay on the country charts since their 2008 No. 1 hit «Chicken Fried». Over the past eight years, the band has earned 13 No. 1s on Billboard's country charts, released four critically acclaimed studio albums and racked up numerous industry awards, including three Grammys. Currently, ZBB is headlining its Black Out the Sun Tour.
